InstallAware Virtualization & SQL LocalDB

Hello, The idea of using the new InstallAware Virtualization to create a single truly portable executable file, which could reside on a network location, or a USB drive is great. However, I have an application that uses SQL LocalDB, can I use Installaware Virtualization product to create a single ex...

Re: Installer claims reboot is required after patch

Hello,

I'm facing the same problem.
The only difference is that I'm testing on VISTA OS 64bit.
Your suggestion to set the variable REBOOTCOMPUTER to FALSE after the apply install doesn't solve the problem.
Any other suggestion?

Re: After patching the shortcuts are not removed when I UnIn

Hi,

I'm still waiting for an answer for the shortcuts.
Also the scheduled task for updates is not created as expected under the same environment.

Now, I have created a Patch that only adds a new directory to the initial setup. When I try to uninstall t...

Re: SQL Server Express 2008 R2

Hi, There wasn't any such minimum or custom installations choices, only the Copyright notice appeared. If I run it again, as you suggest, a message appears asking me if I want to uninstall the selected application. I'm referring to the "InstallAware9R2RuntimesUpdate.exe" program that I use...

Re: SQL Server Express 2008 R2

Hi,

I have downloaded and installed the IA9R2 but still the "SQL Server Express 2008 R2" entry doesn't appear in the Application Runtimes list.
Is there anything else I have to do?
Thanks,
Emmanouel

Break of Patch Requirements

The use of compiler variables to customize setup at build time and have setups for different products is really a nice feature to have, when only very few things change between them, having a unique setup project. However, how such approach doesn't break the Patch requirements when the elements that...

Thanks.

Should I start from the theme I want dialog and "create" the update dialogs or vice versa?
