Re: Access Violation at address 004E9BA5 in module "miae.exe", Read address 00000010

Honestly, I don't think this is caused by InstallAware itself ...it looks more similar to a System issue (Eg. a corrupted system).

I suggest you also to check, if any installed Antivirus may be at the root of the issue.

Re: Updating a single file in an existing EXE/MSI

Dear Sheri, you cannot replace or update a single file in an existing EXE/MSI. You may eventually, - convert an existing MSI to an IA project with the "MSI/MSM Database Import Wizard tool". "The Database Import Wizard opens a Windows Installer setup (MSI file) or merge module (MSM fil...

Re: Issue with MySQL script not executing - always returns error

If worked with invoking the tool manually from command line, it must work from IA via “Run Program” as well. Due of this, I believe there is something wrong with the Run Program's parameters. Most probably, this may be caused by the MySql path. For example, depending on the target OS architecture (x...

Re: Issue with MySQL script not executing - always returns error

Dear Colin, I checked what you reported and for now, I can only confirm the issue. Unfortunately, the problem dependents on version 8 of My Sql version and currently, this is not supported by “My SQL Server” command. It'll will be available an update, but at the moment, I cannot anticipate its actua...

Re: Question About New Compression Heuristic

Dear Sheri, this is entirely expected. The improved 1.5 GB compression dictionary would make a difference only with the largest of setup payloads. For what I see, you have already experienced "nominal" benefit from your current payload. This is the best of what is possible with the state-o...
