Re: Will upgrading help me?

Roadblock #1 In the 'MSI Code' tab I need to add dialogs referenced by scripts I include. When I add a dialog (Dialogs - > Add Dialog to Project) the appropriate .dfm file is copied into my installer's main folder. This means I now have two copies of the dialog, one in the combined installer (#4) a...

Re: No need to listen to the hype, listen to the users.

I migrated from the old Wise stuff and have found IA scripting very intuitive, also been a programmer since, well before there was such thing as a PC. One, a very simple way to learn it is try one of the many prebuilt projects and start with that. They cover pretty much everything you would ever nee...

Re: Version 15: Net Dummy

hmmm...not seeing it in mine. Did you perhaps download and install the .NET bridge separately at some point.

Re: Version 15: Net Dummy

You're up early...I'm still installing, but guessing it is a dummy framework connection for the .NET bridge.

No need to listen to the hype, listen to the users.

Take it from a very long time user, that has used "All" of the other guys stuff...Installaware Rocks period. IMO, There is only one choice when comes to installers and that is IA.

Re: Bug in Static Text Color when set to transparent.

Hi Francesco, I'm using the current download of Studio Admin on a Win7 64 Bit box. I have no problem with a "Label", but it is with "Static Text" Steps to reproduce: 1.) Start with any of your Sample Themes, I chose Titanium. 2.) Open the destination dialog in the dialog editor. ...

Bug in Static Text Color when set to transparent.

Seems to be a bug in setting Static Text color. In the dialog editor: If I change the color from Black to White, it works fine, but when I set it to transparent, the text goes back to black. All properties show the text being white, but it is not. Looks like there is a newer build posted and am goin...

Re: ASP.NET?

I think you are right on this and I didn't think about that, this is a new build box and I did not set that up. I'll do that and reinstall it. Thanks!

ASP.NET?

Howdy, Installed Installaware Studio Admin NX and can't find the ASP.NET sample. The docs say it is in the WebSupport sub-folder, but there is no such folder. Did find the other automation samples. Dug through the folders and could't find it. Am I missing it somewhere? Not in a big hurry for it, but...

Bought the update immediately.

I'm not really on here that much, because IA is one of those things that just works. Wanted to say thanks for v2012, you really made me look good using one installer to install both 32 Bit and 64 Bit apps, and really looking forward to what NX has to offer. Note: I am NOT some kind of paid spokes pe...

InstallAware Just Plain Rocks

Been using IA for several years from somewhere around v5 or v6. and just have to say it totally rocks. I have really come to appreciate the combined 32-Bit and/or 64-Bit install modes. Do you know how much easier this has made my job? Do you know how good it makes me look? When I an invest in someth...

Re: Big Black Bars

Unfortuanetly it doesn't happen with the test project I tried...it is very inconsistant, but these are the common factors. 1. Using the Vista Glass control in a dialog and using the Vista Glass sample dialogs. 2. Setting the backgound to white. 3. Setting the label background to transparent. 4. Proj...

Re: Big Black Bars

I'm getting the same problem. It happens when I set the background color of a label to Transparent and the dialog background to white. On XP I will get the black bar on some labels, some not, but what consistantly happens is the background is never white, but the buttonface color. Run it on Vista or...
