Dear User,

... which IA version are you using? ... which certification program are you trying to apply?

Hi,

Iam running into the same issue.

I am using InstallAware 14 and I need to use Microsoft "Platform ready" suite to test my application for Windows Server 2012 R2.

Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated,

Joel

Hi, I tried this but unfortunately the problem seems to be unrelated.

These are the exact error messages I get from the validation tool:

Image is not marked as NX compatible
Image is not marked as Dynamic Base compatible

Dear Joel,

does it happens even if you try to validate a dummy installer (...without adding any file to the project) generated using the latest IA 18 version?

Hi Francesco,

I tried this now, but the problem persist.

What I did was to create a new project using the Quick start wizard. I made the application folder only consist of a small .txt-file to make the installation as simple as possible. Then I created a Single File MSI.

I ran the platform check with this small msi-file but again it failed with the same error message.

The platform ready-tool for Windows Server 2012 R2 (from January this year) is available for download at
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=41676
so you can also try it out yourself.

I would really appreciate any help on this matter. Certifying our application with Microsoft is a big deal for us.

Best regards,

- Joel Sanderi

Passing these should not be mandatory.

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=311590

3.2 Applications must comply with Windows security requirements
Note: This test case is a Microsoft recommended Best Practice and is not required for passing the Certification Program.
