Disable X2 features

Hi Folks,
This might sound like an unusual question but is it possible to upgrade to X2 but not take advantage of the increased compression and faster install times?
The reason I ask this question is because we use continuous integration and the longer time required to create the X2 installer would have a serious impact on our productivity.
While I would like to upgrade to X2, I would like to limit use of the new features to a daily scheduled build and maintain the current speed when creating installers.
Regards
-Mohamed

Dear Mohamed,
the new x64 compressor is not enabled by default ... so it's not required any action on your side if you don't to use it.

Thanks Francesco,
Are you saying the faster install time is purely based on use of the x64 compressor?
Also, is it possible to enable/use of the x64 compressor through the command-line?

Dear Mohamed,
the faster X2 execution is based on optimization and enhancements on the IA engine and this can't be disabled.
Honestly, I don't understand what are your concerns about the faster engine.
No, it's not possible to control the x64 compressor from command line.

Thanks Francesco,
My concerns are based around the fact that it takes about 20 minutes to create an installer using IA18.
If the new IA engine increases this time, it will limit the number of installs we can create each day and as a consequence our opportunities to perform functional testing.

Dear Mohamed,
you should not see any differences on the build time if you don't use the new x64 compressor.
The new IA engine will affect the install time ... especially if your setups are based on the Native Engine.
