I am looking at a way to find the MODIFIED DATE on file. Earlier posts indicated that this was not possible. Has anything since been developed to read the create\modify date of a file as I need to update a template only if it is prior to certain date. Thanks Adrian.

unfortunately it's not available a ready to use script command at such purpose.
However, you could develop a custom dll or custom plugin at such purpose.
