How to give Windows8 look and feel to dialogs on Windows7

Postby hdwivedi23 » Wed May 20, 2015 1:29 pm

The current themes that are offered by Installaware X2 are old and jaded. They look outdated and have not been updated for a long time.

I am trying to get Windows 8 look and feel for install dialogs on Windows 7.

1) Is there a way to customize the dialogs to look that way?
2) Or a way to get windows8 themes?
3) Or a third party tool that I can use to create Dialogs (with Windows 8 theme) for install?

Can someone please help.

Dear hdwivedi23,

you can customize any dialog using the Dialog Editor tool, but of course it's not available a sort of automatic template designer at such purpose.
Anyway, you can use the available themes as starting point to create your custom themes.
You can even use any dedicated graphics with dialog background or with dialog buttons, this is up to you.

For now, I am not informed about the availability of new dialog themes with future IA releases.

Hope this helps you.

We are looking to add some official new themes.

Did you have any mockup concepts of what you have in mind?

Please feel free to share any ideas here.
