Automatic deletion of empty folders?

I've discovered that InstallAware script automatically removes empty folders. Not sure what might trigger this... Is this expected behavior? Is there any way to turn it off?

Dear Galina,
if such folder has been created by the install process, the same gets removed at un-install.
Am I missing something?

No, it has not been created by install process, but was created externally (other application/manually etc.) We use IA script to update the data in the folder. IA install process (not uninstall) removes all the empty subfolders, which is not desired in some cases. Can we control it somehow?
