Inadvertently Removal of Features

Hi Support Team,

I just inadvertently removed some feature definitions. To reproduce the error please perform the following steps:
- Add a Feature 'Parent Veature'
- Add a child feature 'Child Feature'
- Go back to the parent feature, click it (or press F2 or click 'Rename'), move the cursor to the 'V' and press <del> in order to delete the letter 'V'

Before you have the chance to enter a 'F' the feature including all child features are disappeared. The delete key must not act as 'delete feature' but as 'delete character' when editing the name.

Besides I would expect at least a request for confirmation in case a feature (particularly when sub-features are included) is about to get deleted.

Without that confirmation request this is a very annoying issue, because there is no undo available. The only way is to close IA IDE without save - but than any other change is gone to heaven...

Would you mind to consider this to be fixed?

Best regards
Michael

Hi Francesco,

Is this implemented in the current release X6?

Best regards
Michael

Dear Michael,

for what I see, this fix will be included with an eventual IA X6 update.

As workaround, you may use the  "Back-Space" key (<-) to delete a character from a feature name.

Hope this helps you.

Regards

Dear Michael,

this should be now fixed with the latest IA X6 update (v. 23.02 - Released to Manufacturing on: 03.04.17)
