Application Maintenance dialog caption

Postby SITL » Mon Dec 19, 2016 5:39 am

Dear Francesco,

I migrated from IA X4 to IA X5
I am changing Caption of Application maintenance dialog and
few controls in that like Modify, Remove, uninstall and adding few images.
I saved, And test it using Tools/Test dialog. everything looks fine.

But when i build, install and again install it comes to application maintenance dialog,
the images are fine but not the caption.
Surprised, I did clean the output directory manually.
I verified the date-time stamp of .dfm file in the project directory, but it is not showing the
latest date. where do you cache ?. worried
The .dfm file is not showing the latest modified date-time :?:
I have done this kind of changes everywhere using IA X4,
changes used to reflect properly after the build.

Then i changed some caption in other screens as well, same problem.
Appreciate your support.
Please advice.
Regards

Dear SITL,

the Dialog Editor doesn't store or use any cache ...I suggest you to verify where you are effectively saving your dialog files.

Dear Francesco,
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry to say,but please look at my comments.
Nobody can complain about such a basic thing.
I have spend sufficient time. This could be the BIGGEST discouraging factor about InstrallAware.
Please verify.

Dear SITL,

honestly, I can only suppose that there is something wrong with the approach you used...I am not able to see any problem.

If you have any chance to post a very VERY minimal project, along with the exact steps required to replicate the issue, I'll be happy to verify it.

Dear Francesco,

Thanks for your comment. I understand !

I did all kind of testing.
Due to time factor, I have to move on...
We'll revisit later.
Points form previous posting :

Dear Francisco,

For your info...
We have licensed version of IA X5.
But I have installed trial version of IA X5 on my development machine and not applied license.

Does this cause any trouble ?

Dear SITL,

the trial doesn't have any limitation in terms of features or usability. The only limitation is with the generated package which displays a demo warning.
