Multiple problems with APPX Builder

Postby pfennig » Thu Jan 26, 2017 7:46 am

So far, I was only able to convert a very basic newly created native project,
including only one executable, one help file and one shortcut, to an APPX package.
Already the second try with our company name and a real name for the package produced an error 180.

In our real life projects I already removed parts with conditional compilation.
But then the next error occurred claiming a file was not found with the exact path were the file is actually located.

If there wasn't that first error I'd start to clone and redesign our projects but right now it doesn't seem to make sense.

Dear Pfennig,

can you please check the following questions?

- Which is the file-version of the "IaUwpAppx.dll"?
The file is located within the "..\appx\bin" su-folder of the IA X5 installation directory (right click the file; then, properties -> Details).

- Which is the version of your IA X5 installation as reported in "Add Remove Program" (under Control Panel)?

- Which is the build number of your IA X5 Installation?
From IA IDE switch to "Project View" and then select the "Version" button from the top ribbon menu.

Dear Pfennig,

your versions look all correct.

A question, are you able to build the APPX successfully once you disabled the Authenticode signature settings (from the IA project)?

After playing around with the settings for the setup I discovered that I had a leading zero
in the version number that caused the first error message (error code was actually 108).

With activated authentication I then get error 180.
But we are using a valid sha2 certificate. So, that cannot be the reason.

Are these error codes documented somewhere?
It would save some time if the error message would actually say what the problem is.
Best regards
