Clean MSI database

Postby SITL » Wed Apr 26, 2017 3:30 am

Dear Francesco,

Thanks for your help.
Is there a way i can refresh MSI database for my project ?.
I mean clear all object references & rebuild my project.
Some of the issues are hard to comprehend.
Since i have not made any changes, clean build may solve the issues.
(I have couple of issues like silent install not working, shortcut image is not shown etc.,)

The issues are show stoppers, please help.
Appreciate your advice.
Regards

Dear SITL,

the MSI database gets created from scratch each time the project is built. So there isn't any MSI db to clean.
You may eventually need to work on a new project or to fix the possible errors that may exist with your scripts.

Francesco,

Thanks for your advice,
Yaa.., It's better to create a new project :)
Suppose i create a new project, Is there any guide lines to replace files from older project to new project ?

I have to methodically copy files from older project.
I think except .mpr all the files can be replaced :? .... I'll try that.

Dear SITL,

I'm not quite sure to which files you are referring. If these are script files, just move them into the new project folder and then selectively select to import them.
