I'm trying to upgrade our installer to X6. Although the project loads and builds without issue, when I try to run the resulting installer (a single file with good compression) the installer unpacks but quits saying it needs Windows 8 minimum. This is not true, our software runs just fine on Windows 7. I have tried turning off the OS check altogether but the problem persists.

I presume installers built with IA X6 can be run on Windows 7?

I've answered my own question. My installer included SQL Server 2016 which is not compatible with Windows 7, only Windows 8 and above. This is the reason why the installer would not run.
