ProductGuid or CompanyName/ProductName?

Hi,
where is the priority in recognizing setups as "equal"? ProductGuid or CompanyName/ProductName?
one of our customers rebranded, we need to change the company name and product name of the setups.
As far as I know, patches for example react very sensitive and need the same version number etc. But I have no knowledge regarding the general priority of the various items involved in this context.
So, my question:
Whan we change
of an InstallAware project but leave
as is, will the setups in ALL aspects be treated as the same? Windows, MSI, patch generation, update beviour, everything else...?
If not so, how can we achieve this behaviour?

- revision code
