We have installers build with IA 15X and one customer noticed while doing security scans that the installer is taking screenshots using BitBlt API functions.
My question is, why is the installer core doing this and how can I stop this from happening?

If I have understood you correctly, you are alleging that setups built with InstallAware capture screenshots.
This is unequivocally false, we do not have any such mechanism in our setup engine for any reason.

Your only recourse would be to escalate the matter to VMRay for the resolution of their false positive.
