Source file not found

Hi,

We are experiencing erratic problems when installing. Our project is using web-based exes. When running setup a dialog comes up saying

Error - Source file not found

Screenshot attached. If I navigate to that directory the file is not there. The other files are. If I go to the build log the file is there, included in the build:

Copied file \\\\Srv4\\Builds\\BuildProject10\\Output\\web\\App_Themes\\default\\images\\search\\searchbgprogress.gif
Copied file \\\\Srv4\\Builds\\BuildProject10\\Output\\web\\App_Themes\\default\\images\\search\\searchhelp.gifCopied file \\\\Srv4\\Builds\\BuildProject10\\Output\\web\\App_Themes\\default\\images\\search\\searchicon.gif
Copied file \\\\Srv\\Builds\\BuildProject10\\Output\\web\\App_Themes\\default\\images\\search\\searchrss.gif
...

I've read about 256 path limit but the path above are not more than 87 chars. So, it seems it's uncompressing incorrectly. The weird thing is I've run several installations on this (and other machines) which are now starting to fail. We're running installation logged on as local administrators.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
- Manso

Hmm, are the files read from the network location successfully and are they actually packed inside the web media block files?

Hi,

The log file says it has compressed the files. I don't know how to check to see if it's actually there. When the error occurs and the dialog is displayed I can navigate to the directory and find that 6 out of 7 files are present in the directory. If I press Ignore it will display the same message for about 30 files. It probably has nothing to do with filename length as there are other files in the directory which have longer names and they have been successfully uncompressed.

Thanks,
Manso

Hi,

Does anyone have any feedback on this? Any tips on how to further troubleshoot?

Thanks,
