InstallAware Studio 6 Bug When Choosing Add-Remove Icon

version: IW Studio 6 build gwinnett_sp3.102006
os: WinXP x64 SP1

Create a new default project
Go to Add-Remove Programs
Click Load Icon
In Select Icon dialog, choose All files
Choose an EXE file (or any file for that matter)
IW complains (Unknown picture file extension .exe)
Now click onto Application requirements
Now try and click back onto Add-Remove Programs

You see a different error: Icon image is not valid plus the Add-Remove Programs panel is never displayed not allowing you to correct it. You cannot quit out (you have to kill AW) and if you have saved the project and attempt to reload it, you cannot change the Icon.

To remove an invalid icon, display the Project Manager (View | Project Manager), and remove the icon file from the Support Files node under your project.

OK ... that fixes the problem but irrespective of what icon I choose IA still keeps on saying the icon is invalid!

What's the fix?

Are you actually choosing a legal .ico file? Because your earlier examples seemed pretty contrived - you were intentionally picking non-icon file types!

I am. I'm just pulling the ico file out of our EXE. I've attached it. What is the minimum requirements for ICO's for use with IA?

Any icon works, maybe something is wrong with your icon extractor?
