you have installed version of the app older than the dates

A user has just reported the following error when attempting to run my app after installation.

"Sorry - you have installed a version of the application older than the dates."

The customer was almost certainly installing a more recent version of the main exe over the top of his existing installation, using an Installaware script which uses the Copy local files command suggested to me in a post some months ago in this forum. This exe would have a timedate stamp of yesterday, certainly more recent than his existing installation.

Unfortunately I am not at the office. Is it an Installaware message and where should I look to fix the problem? What dates does it refer to?

Many thanks

This doesn't look like an InstallAware error message at all.

Many thanks Michael. He was running some sort of weird firewall or security system so it was HIS message rather than mine or yours - thank goodness. He disabled it and everything worked fine.

Sincerely
