Web Media Block Names

All of my web media blocks have what I consider to be” scary” names. They have names such as “microsoft .net framework 2.0.7zip”. The reason I call them scary names is because as a programmer, I am not used to naming my files using spaces in them and I am definitely not used to naming files using periods in them. These “scary” names are the default names that IA assigned to my web media blocks.

Well, the reason why I am posting this is because I am curious if having such “scary” names will any negative side effects.

For example, if the media blocks are hosted on a web server, will names like those work on all web servers (IIS, Apache, WebSphere etc)? Will IA have any problems resolving the names in older versions of OSs?

Just curios, thanks.

I've discovered that some older CD ROM drivers (from the Windows 200 era) do not like these longer file names.

I've taken to renaming the default names whenever I can, as names with spaces and other characters really make working with things on a command line a challenge.
