So, I tell InstallAware to put a shortcut to my application on the Vista desktop but I want the application to run as administrator. It doesn't appear that installaware allows me to set this option? True? If I select properties of the shortcut, I can set runas administrator...Can I do this in the install?

Sure you can create desktop shortcuts with IA.

Shortcuts -> New: check on the desktop.

You can't set "Run As Administrator". You will need to set an application manifest with the appropriate elevation.

It will be very helpful to setup all these properties via IA if possible in Vista.

The option you are asking for is not offered by Windows Installer, which InstallAware uses to create shortcuts.
