MS SQL Server Plug-in Log

Hi, I am having trouble finding out why my SQL script (which runs fine in MS Studio) returns ERROR when running via the MS SQL Server Plug-in. Is there any way to see what the result messages of the SQL execution are? I see the SQL 'scroll by' along the top of my Bluewave progress dialog, but I can't capture it.

On another note, I actually don't like the fact the the SQL is displayed on the progress dialog since there is sensitive business logic displayed in there. Any way to stop that behavior?

Thanks in advance for your quick response.

Sorry, support for SQL plugin not supported.

For your second question:

Yes, you can edit the progress dialog and hide that text - just build a custom progress dialog for your SQL progress phase and take out the progress control, replacing it with something generic.

How can support for MS SQL Server plug-in not be supported? It is installed as part of IA7, it is described in your documentation, is listed as a feature on your web site and is integrated into your toolbox? In fact, I've gotten support for it in the past on this forum and through email by your tech support rep Michael Nesmith.

I think my question is a very simple one to answer, how can I get the output of the execution of the SQL plugin? A return result value of ERROR is insufficient to actually use this capability in any meaningful way.

Thank you.

I believe what Alex was trying to say is that the SQL plug-in does not support obtaining detailed error information. Of course, the full InstallAware 7 product suite is supported by InstallAware :)
