Way to deterrmine client internet connectivity via MSI code?

Is there some way you can check if the client machine has Internet connection, other than to “Download File” and check the result?
When making a Scheduled task there is this option as a checkbox, “Run if connected to Internet”… But could the same thing be verified the same way in the MSI-code somehow?
