Error Opening a Project

Postby rspag » Fri Nov 20, 2009 3:37 am

Hello,

I have a big problem with one of my projects in InstallAware Studio 9.

When I open the project a get an error with just this text:

Attempt to render non-referenced line!

and the project won't be open.
It works fine with any other project.

We need to recover this project as we also lost our backup system...

Thanks

EDIT: I just found that the .mia.txt file is truncated and the .mia.txt.bak is exactly the same...
Is there some way to get back the code from the compiled project?

Afraid there is no way to decompile this file from your built setup as it gets compiled into msi code :(

I supposed it, fortunately we found an old backup (September) on the old backup system (the one that has not failed)

Thanks anyway Neil

PS: Just to know: my project files and my .bak files had the same date and time when this happened, meaning that they were saved (and corrupted for some strange and unknown reason) at the same moment??

In this case maybe keeping the .bak files one step behind the project files would be a wise thing.
