Where do the .NET Framework files come from? Are you packaging them up in the executable? Where are you copying the files from? I dont want to artificially bloat the size of my installer for the very few customers that don't yet have V1.1 of .NET.

All the information you ask is written at the IA Help file.
If you don't want to bloat your installer and increase it's size by including the .net framework, you can create a webmedia block that includes the .net framework and download it only when it's neccessary.
InstallAWARE is known to use the best compression algorithm available, which decreases the size of .net 1.1 to barely ~11 mb, so it's not that much overhead on your installer.
If you don't know how to do this, I can provide consulting services for you and help you create your installer.Contact me at pkefal (at) installaware (dot) com.

I am concerned about assuming the responsibility of installation for the .NET framework. Is IA just running the MS authorized setup or is IA replicating it?

Hi!
Don't worry, InstallAware is running the native installer. More information on how we reduce the file size but keep everything intact and untouched is available here:

Also you may find this page interesting:

It describes how InstallAware helps eliminate bloat, while still providing setups that work without mandating an Internet connection.
