There are rare reports of miabuild crashing upon exit. If you are affected by this problem, please download the attached file and overwrite your existing copy with this version. Please report your results on this forum.

Hi Michael,
I tried the new miabuild.exe and I'm still seeing the same behavior. miabuild.exe builds and outputs the results to the console. The last output I see if "Cleaned up" but then it doesn't exit. Looking at the Task Manager shows that miabuild.exe is still running.
I also tried running it with Norton's auto-protect turned off with the same effect.

Hi Nick
Turning the auto protect off may have little effect, as it is probably something Norton has registered with the system, and remains active (even when auto protect is off), that may be causing the conflict.
All the same, here is a debug build. This has been built with debug information in the EXE, and additionally outputs several message boxes to the screen.
Please note down the exact sequence of message boxes shown - and provide them here at your convenience. This way we will at least know what part is hanging and might be able to offer a workaround.

Hi Michael,
Sorry for the delay.. We've been using the debug miabuild.exe for a while now and probably have done over 40 builds now with it. Not once did it freeze. Definity better than the hangs we were getting
I wonder if this could be a timing issue? Instead of the messageboxes could you have it output to stdout instead? I'd be more than willing to give it a go.
Thanks!
Nick

Hi Nick!
This sounds like it will be a very non-trivial problem to resolve. The developer of the command line build tool tells me that between the message boxes, various allocated resources are freed - nothing else goes on.
We will post an updated build without the message boxes, with outputs to stdout as you suggested. The developer does feel this may not resolve the issue, but we will give it a try nonetheless.
We will arrive at a working solution - thanks for your feedback and patience!

Hi Again
Please try the attached version that outputs to the console...and let us know how it turns out with this one!

Hi Again!
Here is a different build - the developer had a heuristic idea for a resolution. Please try this one out - it doesn't output to stdout, but takes a different approach that we feel might resolve the issue.

Hi!
We have a had a report from a user experiencing this error that uninstalling TortoiseSVN seems to dissolve this issue.
It would be great if other users affected by this problem could see if they have TortoiseSVN installed and possibly uninstall it to see if that helps.
Thank you for your help with this, Martin!
