Hello,
I use InstallAware 9 (Build Moya.sp1.070409) version.
The first version of my-installation when is uninstalled removes everything correctly, also the shortcuts that were initial created.
Now, I have created a Patch that only adds a new directory to the initial setup.
When I try to uninstall the application, after the Patch being applied correctly, everything is removed except the shortcuts.
Is there any way to correct it?
Have a nice day,
Emmanouel
After patching the shortcuts are not removed when I UnInstal
Re: After patching the shortcuts are not removed when I UnIn
Where are the shortcuts located/being installed to?
What do they link to?
What OS are you testing on?

Re: After patching the shortcuts are not removed when I UnIn
Hello,
I'm testing it on a Vista (x64) but the application and installation program are both 32bit.
and here is the code that is related to the ShortCuts:
if Variable ADVERTISE Equals TRUE
Apply Advertised (get result into variable SUCCESS)
else
Create Shortcut $DESKTOPDIR$\foo to $TARGETDIR$\foo.exe
Create Shortcut $SHORTCUTFOLDER$\foo to $TARGETDIR$\foo.exe
Create Shortcut $SHORTCUTFOLDER$\Support to
Create Shortcut $SHORTCUTFOLDER$\Support\Team to $TARGETDIR$\SUPPORT\Team.exe
Apply Install (get result int variable SUCCESS)
if Variable SUCCESS not Equals ERROR
if Variable SUCCESS not Equals CANCEL
end
end
end
Have a nice day,
Emmanouel

Hi,
I'm still waiting for an answer for the shortcuts.
Also the scheduled task for updates is not created as expected under the same environment.
Regards,
Emmanouel

I have verified that when a patch includes "create folder" command, shortcuts are not removed on uninstall. I've notified our developers.
