Whatever you do, don't copy an installer...

Postby JohnGalt » Fri Oct 01, 2010 1:32 pm

Whatever you do don't copy an installer to another directory and then try editing sql scripts etc.... they'll still point to the absolute path of the original one instead of being a relative path!!!!

ARGH I just lost tons of work because of this bug.

I need to find an SQL script in a compiled installer (uncompressed). Where can I look for the sql script that is going to be executed?

Also a bug:

If you have install aware running and use goto meeting or any other screen sharing software and are made presenter and your computer switches to Aero basic it will blow up InstallAware.

The paths should be relative, unless you're pointing to a network drive (on the latest release 9 R2 SP3).

$ROOTDIR$ contains the folder of the setup executable itself.

Well let's put it this way:
I edited an SQL Script in the designer and it edited it for the original one too.
