Hello, I have a setup created in English, and I would like to run it just in English. When I run it from a different language OS, the standard messages are translated in the current OS language, raising two problems:
1) only standard messages are translated (and so I need to translate everything else)
2) translations are just draft, and they require significant efforts to be upgraded to a professional level
My users were happy with an english setup. Now they run a setup and they see two languages: English and their operating system language. Result is somewhat embarrassing, specially for 1st time users!
Is there any way to force IA to run JUST the original setup language?
TIA
How to prevent translation of std messages?
Re: How to prevent translation of std messages?
Hi,
The problem is that these strings are translated by the Windows Installer Engine.
What I would try doing is setting the $LANGUAGE$ variable to English in the beginning of the setup.
Let me know if that helped matters.
