Uninstall/Modify does not keep original language settings

I have managed to get an installer that starts up in a specific language,

Started from a CD Autorun, which allows you to select the language.

The install is then started with the command line LANGUAGE=xxxxxxxx.

This seems to work fine, although the initial setup dialogs are still in english :(

The problem is, if you then try to Modify or Uninstall the application, the installer still starts up in the default language, which is english, not the one it was originally installed with.

Are the language settings not saved with the install?

or will I have to manually add something to the registry to get the original language?

Cheers for the help

The default language for the current OS seems to be used only when setup is not run from Control Panel Add-Remove. When run from Control Panel Add-Remove or the Start Menu link to remove the program, the user-chosen language will be used instead of the default.

Note: The default language is always the OS default language.
