Any way to do Common Translations for multiple applications

Postby Gareth Owen » Wed Mar 29, 2006 5:11 am

We currently have 2 distinct installations based off exaclty the same main script.

The two installs (Application1 and Application2) have their own MPR files and simple .mia scripts that call the main script.

In our case these 2 applications are co-located in the same directory.

(Modifications to the main script will be reflected in both apps)

The problem comes when trying to translate these 2 installations.

If you use the localisation wizard to from one of the applications, get it translated then reimport, everything is fine.

But is you the try to translate the 2nd application.

1) you cannot use the same translated files as some parts are in different orders
2) When you import the new translation, it overwrites the translations for the first so you cannot build the first app.

Is there any way to have a common translation, that can be used by both applications?

If not, Please Please Please can we have one :)
Maybe a seperate translation for each script/dialog, rather than one for the entire project.
