ReadOnly problem installing form a CD/DVD

I have an install using an Uncompressed install that I put on a DVD. What is happening is, the files that are get installed on the clients machine are all being written as Read only files. IS this because they are readonly on the dvd? How can I prevent this. If I create a full install this does not happen.
Thanks
Paul

Paul,
What happens if you run the same uncompressed setup not from the DVD?

every thing works fine. The files are NOT read only.

Paul,
How exactly are you burning the files onto the DVD?

The actually burning of the CD is through a program calle "AutoRun Max" by Indigo Rose.

Hi,
We tried this using the default Windows CD burning capability and experienced no such problems.
Could you please check and verify?

I'm reviving this discussion as I am having this issue with my installs as well. Following the suggestions currently in the thread has not helped. One would think that by default an uncompressed install layout would mark the files writable and Aviv's responses seem to imply that should happen. Are the some settings/pre-defined variables that I need to set? The documentation is not clear on this.
Details on the installs and my testing:
- Tested on Windows 7 x64
- Use the miaiu.exe to get uncompressed layout from a single-file install (but also explicitly create an uncompressed layout from inside InstallAware but with same results)
- Install was created with InstallAware 15
- Using Native Engine
- Used default Windows CD burning capability
Thanks,
Rich

Dear Rich,
I found the same.
I suspect this is caused because with NATIVE ENGINE, the files are fisically copied from the CD source to target.
Let me verify it with our dev team.
By now, I can only suggest ( ... as possible workaround) to execute a call from your script to the "Attrib" command to modify these settings.

Dear Rich,
this issue should now be fixed by the InstallAware update (15.4) currently available.
Regards.
