Bug or Feature in Find and REPLACE in edit menu

When I am searching and replacing text in the IDE, I cannot highlight a selection and replace the test only in that selection....
once I enter my find and replace with test, I have to search from teh beginning of the script each time instead of just in the area I want to search in or replace in.
It would bwe a big help if the ability "Replace in Selection " existed for this....
