Hello,

some customers get an Error if they launch my IA generated .exe.

The message says: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk?\DR?

For ? you can add various numbers like:

\Device\Harddisk5\DR5 or
\Device\Harddisk1\DR1

The error occurs on updatecheck. The .exe is not a real setup but is has the update functionality and is generated with IA 15. What could be the reason? I do not check for such a folder in my setup script. Maybe there are files missing or moved or something like that?

I am not abloe to reproduce the issue but I have some customers that have this problem and I do not know what is th ereason.

You can see a similar message here:
http://www.osnn.net/attachments/windows ... e-dump.jpg

What can I check or what can I do?

Thank you!

Regards,
Alex

Dear Alex,

honestly, it is really difficult to share with you an useful suggestion to find out what possibly happens.

I found strange that you had the problem with the "updatecheck.exe" builded with IA 15. I suppose that other installed package is not (if any). Am I wrong?

Exist any possibility to have the project you used to generate "updatecheck.exe" (...with all files used, in order to give me a try to rebuild it in site)?
You can send it to; support@installaware.com

Then, exist any possibility to a have a VM copy of one those systems?

Let me know.

Regards.

Dear Alex,

Will be available a new InstallAware update very soon (ver. 15.4.1).
Please verify if this update solves the issue you had.

Regards.
