Insufficient Memory Errors

Postby SteveDude » Mon Aug 05, 2013 7:37 am

Having problems in IA 17 Admin Single File installs with "Error during build: Unable to build setup files: Insufficient memory" What's funny is I just built one before that was 200 MB and this one is only 25. On the one that did build, when I ran the install it wouldn't play the flash movie I am using.

Have over 80GB free disk space 8GB RAM and no other programs running.

Have to get this stuff done and may role back to IA 15.

Any ideas?

Never Mind...I think...upgraded it to Unicode and I was able to build it. Now to check the Flash Movie.

...no...the Flash Move won't play. Something's weird.

Yes and no. I can get it to build, but the Flash Movie doesn't play. I had to get a project done, so I put back on IA15, which works fine.

Dear Steve,

... strange.

It is true that I used a video file to test if it gets executed ( ... due I haven't found a Flash file ... I know it's a shame)
Anyway, if you should supply one ...I'll test it.

Hello Guys,

when I build my exe file on the best and second best compression it always results into that error, but only with IA 18, IA15 is fine.
We have enough memory.. No extra DLL or EXE files are added into the project...

Where is the problem ?

Hi Heiko,

Are you running the latest build - 18.03?

I've still been a bit gun shy since v16 and v17 because of random memory errors. According to the blog they have been fixed in v18. I did build a 1.4GB compressed install with no issues in 18.03.

Dear Heiko,

honestly, I am not able to replicate the same.

Anyway, I believe your screen-shots only report the system processes state after the error is occurred... and not while it is triggered.
You could use "Process Monitor tool" to have a more detailed picture of your system state

by the way this is my exact Version:

Maybe you have to release a 64bit Version of IA instead of 32bit... :) :) :)

The Maximum RAM for the mia process was about 485 MB RAM before it stopped building due to the error. At this time, I had 1.5 GB of physical RAM left...

Please find a soultion as I can not build this Project anymore with compression...

Dear Heiko,

I can eventually verify your project ... but of course, I need to receive all the involved files with it.
