German chars in project name

My project is called 'Swiss Salär 3.0'. We previously ran IA V11.
When I open the project now in V18 IA tells me that it can't find the script because the german character ä is not properly recognised.
I then renamed the script but found out that the same happens with all the dialogs. see attached screen shot. All then ? should be ä.
Anything I can do here or do I have to find all the wrong characters myself?
