Status: Pack and send as e-mail...

Hello,
I have a question about our Setup. We worked with IA 9 R2 for a while now and everything works fine.
Now we changed step by step up to IA 17. All works fine but the status message near the end of installation makes my customers nervious.
It says "Adding to [Title].rar" and a little later "Packing and sending as E-Mail...". I never implemented something like sending E-Mails in our setup.

So my question is: What is happening here, and how can i prefent this from making our users nervious?

Thanks in advice,
Martin

Deae Martin,

Honestly, ... we never implemented such feature and even similar text messages in InstallAware :?: .

I really don't know what it is really happening to your package.

Regards

Hi Francesco,

I have testet around a little and figured out, that the messages only appear when we call the setup from a networkshare.
I searched all my productfiles and the translation files too for such phrases but didnt find anything. Our DefaultLanguage is set to German.
I came to the result that inside the Installer there must be some routines i cant change and maybe the Statustext there is translated into German automatically? May that be possible?
For better understanding i add a view status screens here.

Dear Martin,

I really don't know which could be the reason that causes those strings to be displayed.
I can assure you that the "E-Mail" word is not part of the default IA string resources ... and even we don't use any routine or command for this purpose.

... I can only suppose that "probably" your setup captures the installation sequence of an included third party package.

Hope this helps you.
