Hello Guys,

in one of my Setup Projects, the source language is english and the Destination is german with Umlauts (ä, ü, ö, ß or Copyright Icon, etc, etc).
When I first open the Translation it Looks rubbish....that OK because the new Version is UNICODE.



Then I guess I must run the UNICODE converter ??? I tried with german and english



After that I opened the translator again and it is more rubbish than before

are you using any third party tool with your translations?

If yes, please verify that you are using a tool version that supports UNICODE ... otherwise, it doesn't work correctly.

... the UNICODE converter tool should be used before to open the project with IA 18.

Anyway, it could be also possible that those charactes have a different corrispondence under UNICODE and consequently, it causes the result that you are experiencing.

If you could send me a sample project the uses those similar strings ... I can try to verify it.
