Installing Installaware when C: is low in space

I'm upgrading to Installaware 18, but I'm having problems. I have less than 5 GB in the C:/ drive thanks to VS2013 (it is a fast drive). My temp drive is in D: which has about 800 GB. However, Installaware somehow fills up the rest of my C:/ drive before I even get to choose where it gets installed to D:. Is there anything I can do to set the temp drive for the Installaware installer?

I'm talking not about my own installer, but the actual Installaware 18 installer InstallAware_18_with_Runtimes.exe.

Speaking of which, where are those temp files stored anyway, I only have 44 kb left in C:!

Aha, I just discovered that %TEMP% and %TMP% while pointed to D:\Temp\2 in my account, are pointing to the Admin's AppData in C:! Will try changing that, as IA is installed by the admin after UAC.

The solution above worked - except that I had some custom translations that got wiped out by the upgrade process. :(

Dear tofutim,

did you use the UNICODE upgrade tool?

All the string resources must be in UNICODE format with IA 18.
