MSI exit code always 0

Hi Support,
I had a look through your forums and found the thread below. Was this guys question ever answered/the feature he asked for implemented? I wasn't sure if it was correct etiquette to bump the posts or create a new one, so apologies if this is incorrect.

Long story short, I received a message from one of the guys from our deployment team asking if the MSI exit code will return a real error code?
"I found that when SCCM starts installation using command line “msiexec.exe /i appname.msi /qn” MSI installer finishes after a couple of seconds with exit code 0. But in fact installation is not completed and other installation processes are still running in background.
This will cause some problems with monitoring distribution because SCCM returns exit code provided by MSI installer which will be probably always 0 (success) even if installation fails.
Could you please check if it’s possible to fix so msiexec returns real exit/error code?"
Thanks again for your time, I wasn't sure where to look for this one.
