Hi as an IT consultant I'm looking for a program that will allow me to take common programs distributed as .exe files and convert them into silent install .msi files ready for distribution with either group policy or Small Business Servers assign programs wizard.

Will the IA Express package meet my needs and will it track an installation to build an .msi in VMware?

Thanks for your question. I'm not sure I understand what you mean about VMware..I do know what VMware is, and InstallAware even features ways to detect if your setup is running inside VMware or Virtual PC. But I'm not sure if this is what you are asking...

About SBS deployment, yes you can build MSI files for use in this type of deployment easily with InstallAware.
