Install/PackageAware Trial - Crashes

I am trying to trial you Package aware to re-package some old applications, I can run the 'Before' and 'After' Scan and it creates all the files and tells me I can use InstallAware to package it.

When I open the package created by PackageAware in InstallAware it just crashes and gives a 'Not Responding' Error in Task manager. I left it for 30mins to make sure its not super-slow loading (which I doubted as its an ample spec PC)

Its a clean Win XP with SP2 install btw.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Henry

If you are repackaging very large setups (they can install a very large amount of files, and/or create a very large amount of registry keys), this can occur. What is the setup you are trying to capture?

It is actually a very small package. 1.08MB of files, and no more than 50 reg keys.

Not a complex application either, propably as basic installation as you can get as its just a simple number cruncher.

If you can let me know where to get the app, I'd be glad to give it a try.

Cracked it, PackageAware was trying to add the 500MB hibernation file!

Oh - wow! Thanks for reporting this, I'll add those files to the default exclusion list.
