InstallAware floating license question

What are the requirements for supporting floating licenses? Do you use Flex/LM or some other license manager that would be installed on a PC somewhere on our network? Can a license be temporarily reserved for operation while disconnected from the network. For example, at customer sites I sometimes make custom modification that I want to work into the install program to leave with our customer. Many of these locations do not have Internet network connectivity.

No license managers or servers are required at any time! You will be able to use the floating license free from artificial hindrances of any kind.
