Automatically detect dependency of COM objects in .NET

Postby travis.ly@orthodyne.com » Tue Sep 20, 2005 12:24 pm

Hello

I'm developing a .NET application that contains multiple assemplies and some assemblies use COM Interrop to legacy ActiveX components.

I'm evaluating your product (Professional version) and I cannot find where I can generate dependencies between the main EXE file and all its components. Do I need to do this manually?

The InstallShield Express demo was able to detect the dependencies and pull them into the project.

Can I do the same with your product?

Thanks

Unfortunately, we do not have a dependency scanner at this time. However you may use the free depends.exe tool that ships with Visual Studio to scan for dependencies.
