Right to left language support

I'm trying the evaluation version of InstallAware and I'm curious to what extent InstallAware support Right-To-Left languages like Hebrew.

As far as I can see I have the option to translate to Hebrew with the Localization wizard, but I'm under the impression that it doesn't lead to a setup where the dialogs are also mirrored.

Another question: InstallAware support up to 34 languages. If I'm not mistaken you can rename a 'regular' language to a 'new' languages. Am I right? This is because we have to supply setups for some languages not in the standard list.

You may set the BiDiMode property of your dialogs to bdRightToLeft (instead of the default bdLeftToRight) for Hebrew.

As for renaming languages, that is a glitch in the localization tool. Languages must not be renamed, and new languages cannot be created; because Windows Installer internally supports a finite number of languages (34).

You may still translate your setups and UI to different languages, but progress messages coming from Windows Installer will have to be in one of the official 34 languages.

Instead of using InstallAware's built in language selection dialog, you may create your own dialog (see the Multilingual sample), and map the predefined languages to your custom languages for the UI and other setup text (except native Windows Installer progress text) using this dialog.
