No action 'SELECT CUSTOM FOLDER' available for button.

Postby RyanUK » Thu Feb 19, 2009 6:31 am

Hi,

I am trying to add a browse button to populate a text field for a custom folder location.

I have tried to follow the step by step guide posted here :

http://forums.installaware.com/viewtopic.php?t=4238&highlight=browse+button

The problem is that the 'SELECT CUSTOM FOLDER' option is not in the drop down for 'Performs Action' option.

Please help as this is becoming extremely frustrating !!

Thanks in advance.

Ryan.

I tried Michael's steps and they work ok for me. I've attached a rar file of my test project. Open it and see if it works for you.

I only have IA 8 so I've no idea at all if it's a recent addition to the dropdown which was not present in earlier versions? I guess you probably are using 8 but I thought I'd mention it in passing.

Hopefully the test project will work on your machine.

Hi,

Thanks for you response. I had a sneaking suspicion that it mat be a version issue.

Trying it with the latest version.

Thanks,

Ryan.
