Why do you not use your own update system

Postby cheesetarmac » Tue Mar 03, 2009 6:42 am

Hi

I've noticed that your own software does not make use of your own update architecture? Why is this?

You're wrong, InstallAware uses its own web update - naturally.

Hi Candice

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking in the Scheduled tasks and I don't see any entry, and when I went looking for an update menu in the application I could not find one. I'm interested because the last time I asked about a new runtime plugin, I was directed to the full installer. How do I go about incremental updates?

regards

Steve

That means you chose to not create a scheduled task for InstallAware after it was installed. Update scheduling is voluntary, it is not mandatory, and the installer asks you for it.

The easiest thing for you to do at this stage would be to download and install from the public website, and then regenerate and reinstall your license for this latest version.
