User data at install time

Hi,

I have this Server with 3 ip addresses and I want to install a new Web Site.
I do not know its ips. I can not use AllUnassign.
I want the user to SELECT the correct IP from a list, at install time.
I am a Wise user and they uses a built in dialog that display all Web site properties and the user can change them at install time.
How can this be done with InstallAware ?

Dear Zvika,

I suggest you to have a look at the provided project sample "IIS Web sites and folders"

It illustrates enumerating and creating IIS websites and virtual folders using conditional execution, the custom wizard screen is shown and the IIS metabase is updated only when the main setup feature is selected for installation.

The dialog wizard used in the sample can be customized has you like, with any eventual extra infos that you may require.

Hi Francesco,

I looked at this sample project.
as I understood, I have to do the "dirty" work, i.e. defining the variables, creating the dialog and its controls, and responsible of combining this all together to make it work (retriev all IP addresses of the server, for exsample, and put it in a self-define variable...)

am i correct ? did I miss something here ?
