Not Enough Storage Space...to complete this operation

Postby mikeGuy » Tue Apr 03, 2018 1:41 pm

Greetings folks,

Our installation package is built as a single compressed exe (best compression) and is roughly 800mb in size. During execution on only one set of VM's we have, the installer reports (at immediate launch) "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation". I've read through the previous topics listed here for this error but, our system meets the requirements and I'm pretty sure that this error is not specific to hard disk space or memory available.

So my question is, what specifically on my system would cause this error? Is this perhaps something that I'm doing incorrectly within the installer? Using a complete Native Engine and as mentioned, I am unable to reproduce this problem on all machines except for a new VM cluster. Would appreciate any advice that you may be able to provide. Sincere appreciation for your time.

Kind regards,
Mike

I'm not expert in your type installs, but have you tried checking the space first using some of the predefined variables. The cache can be pretty big, more than double of the installer at times. You can override the location with OVERRIDECACHE.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply. The fix for me was to lessen the compression level on the package (one notch down from "Best").

Mike
