Hi,
I am installing SQL server 2017 with my installer. I took the setup and put in network location like (\\server\builds\install dependency\sql server 2017).
then I have two scripts one is to check SQL is installed or not if not then I have set-up SQL script where I have defined a file bag and taking the installer to a variable and running that. it is giving me the error (see attachment).
also, see the attached screenshot of setup SQL script.
If a changed the network path to #IADIR#/runtimes then it is working fine. I am not getting why it is not working. please help me I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Re: SQL server 2017 not instaliing
I suspect there is something wrong with the "SQL server 2017 setup files" from your network.
You may do a simple test with a minimum modification of your SQL setup script ("Setup for Microsoft SQL Server Express 2017.mia");
- omit the "/q" parameter from the SQL install parameters (MSSQL2017_COMMAND_LINE_X64 variable).
- disable the "Hide Program Window" option from the successive "Run Program" command.
Then rebuild your project and run the generated setup on your target machine.
The above modifications will not hide the UI of the MS SQL installer, and in case of errors, this should give you some more information about the exact nature of your problem.
Hope this helps you.

Re: SQL server 2017 not instaliing
I tried the way you said, not getting any proper message just one popup with cross sign.
when i am defining file bag with #IADIR# script is working fine.
~InstallAware Clipboard Data~
~File Bag~
~{82F32400-64CA-4638-95D8-10FFE9FEC302}~
~"#IADIR#\runtimes\Microsoft SQL Server Express 2017\*.*|",TRUE,DATA_MICROSOFTSQLSERVEREXPRESS2017~
~mFileBagIDE.dll\mFileBagEXE.dll~
and when i changed path from #IADIR# to some network path then it is failing. like this
~InstallAware Clipboard Data~
~File Bag~
~{82F32400-64CA-4638-95D8-10FFE9FEC302}~
~"\\sigmatek.net\Builds\Install Dependencies\Microsoft SQL Server Express 2017\*.*|",TRUE,DATA_MICROSOFTSQLSERVEREXPRESS2017~
~mFileBagIDE.dll\mFileBagEXE.dll~
setup script is same in IADIR location aand network location. (i copied it from IADIR location).

Unfortunately, UNC path wasn't supported with File Bag in X11. Such support has been added in X12.
