My version 1 database application includes a table with 4 records, including a description field. Users can add more records to this table if they wish.

For version 2 I have changed the description text in some of the 4 records.

What will the Patch Update do. Will it overwrite the existing version 1 table, even if users have added records, with the new version 2 table with only 4 records.

A similar question. I have supplied empty tables into which users add their own records. If I change the structure of the table for version 2, e.g. add or delete a field, what will the patch update do. Will it zap all their data and leave them with an empty version 2 table?

What the patch does depends on what you script in MSIcode. So if you are running database scripts, it will run them and do whatever they do. If you are copying database files, it will copy those files.
